Cricket is a game played between two teams of 11 players each. One team bats to score runs while the other team bowls and fields to stop them. The bowler delivers the ball, and the batsman tries to hit it to score runs by running between wickets or hitting boundaries. The batting team continues until 10 players are out or overs run out. Teams take turns to bat and bowl, and the team with the most runs at the end of the game wins.

Game Structure A game has 9 innings. Each inning has two halves: one team bats, the other fields. Teams switch after 3 outs. Batting The batting team tries to hit the ball thrown by the pitcher. After hitting, the batter runs to 1st base, then 2nd, 3rd, and finally back to home plate to score a run. Fielding The fielding team tries to get batters out. Outs happen in several ways: Strikeout (batter misses ball three times). Catching a hit ball before it touches the ground. Throwing the ball to a base before the runner gets there. Scoring Each time a player safely returns to home plate after running all bases, the team scores 1 run. Winning The team with the most runs after 9 innings wins. If tied, extra innings are played.
